One of such is the approval of money for the first phase of provision of independent power plant for nine universities
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) is making up for lost time and giving speedy considerations to pending contracts as 2017 winds down.
On Wednesday, December 20, after a marathon meeting that lasted six hours, FEC set aside N38.965 billion out of numerous contracts awared.
The money was gathered and was approved for the first phase of provision of independent power plant for nine universities and one teaching hospital.

FEC also approved N436 million variation cost for the completion of Police Service Commission headquarters in Abuja.
The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, had told State House correspondents that the extraordinary meeting of the FEC, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, will continue on Thursday.
Shehu, who made this known in Abuja on Wednesday, December 20, said the meeting was extended to Thursday to enable the council deliberate and take decisions on pending issues.
